This delicious Ecolodge is about a 7 hour drive from San Jose, but oh is the trip well worth it! If you are planning to visit the gorgeous Lapa Rios Ecolodge, you need to be prepared as driving conditions may vary depending on the season. Roads are pretty decent all year round so you take virtually any midsize car. However if you are planning to drive up through the months of May – December, you better take an SUV or 4-wheel drive due to floods and rough road conditions.
